Commenting on his new appointment, Blaber said: “The Richard Denny Group has a strong reputation for growing businesses and a clear vision for the future. The group’s operations and ambitions are in keeping with my own work ethics, and I am very much looking forward to building on group’s already impressive achievements to help take us to a new level.”
Blaber is a highly experienced business coach and entrepreneur, specialising in business transformation. His background is in financial services, where he started his career with NatWest Bank, before moving through companies selling financial products and services. In 2003 Blaber created The Stratton Group – an award winning group of companies that specialised in managed risk, growing wealth and ring fencing assets whilst reducing taxation.
In 2012 he led the sale of Stratton Annette’s (previously part of The Stratton Group) for a seven-figure sum. Following the sale, Blaber created a number of coaching courses to help fellow business professionals improve their sales techniques and help them deal with challenging business situations. It was during this time that Blaber met with Richard Denny, founder of the Richard Denny Group, who then offered him the position of CEO.
Denny explained: “For a long time now I’ve been looking for the right person to take our business to the next level, and I believe Simon is that person. Simon will be introducing a complete range of new skill development programmes that will enable businesses to excel in this new trading environment and further enhance our reputation as business growth specialists.”
Denny continued: “Simon comes with a wealth of experience in building and then selling businesses. He is an entrepreneur and we both share many of the same values and principles. I am thrilled to have him on-board.”
Blaber is now director and shareholder of Richard Denny Global Ltd. Denny remains chairman of the group and majority shareholder.
